Established in 1975, Kingsmill Resort holds a place as one of the great golf destinations in the United States. The River Course has played host to professionals since 1981, with the PGA Tour playing The Michelob Championship annually from 1981-2002, and the LPGA tour making Williamsburg an annual stop from 2003 thru the present day with the Michelob Ultra Championship now known as the Pure Silk Championship. Playing host to Major Winners and Champions on both tours, and everyday golfers alike, Kingsmill offers an unparalleled golfing experience in the cradle of American history. The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame is proud to call Kingsmill home to its golf exhibit highlighting the rich history the sport has cultivated in the Commonwealth.
