Hall of Honor
The Hall of Honor exhibit recognizes all of the great sports legends who have been inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame throughout its illustrious 52-year history. These individuals are listed by the year of their enshrinement, and includes former athletes, coaches, contributors, and members of the media. Within the Hall of Honor, you will also find the New Class display showcasing memorabilia of the most recent class of inductees. This display will remain for one year until the next class is inducted in April of each year.

The state of Virginia is home to many outstanding educational institutions and the Virginia’s Colleges and Universities exhibit aims to highlight the success of intercollegiate athletics in Virginia. Athletics is only part of their overall success and it can be seen by the number of championships they have won from conference to national titles.

There are over eighty Virginia Sports Hall of Fame inductees who have also been enshrined at the national level. The Virginia’s National Hall of Famers exhibit honors these men and women for their great careers which continue to bring fame and glory to Virginia.

Virginia’s Year in Sports
The Virginia’s Year in Sports exhibit recognizes 16 high school student-athletes honored as part of the Hall of Fame’s Student-Athlete Achievement Awards. The exhibit also honors the Steve Guback Distinguished Virginian Award recipient, and award that highlights an individual’s philanthropic contributions through sports. The Distinguished Virginian award is named in honor of Hall of Fame inductee Steve Guback, who is recognized as one of Virginia’s great sports journalists.
