The Virginia’s Coaching Legends exhibit showcases some of the great coaches or athletic administrators from the Commonwealth. These outstanding mentors led their teams and organizations to an astounding number of wins and championships in their careers.

Virginia Sports Hall of Fame Stats
Over 70 Coaches/Administrators have been inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
The first coach to be inducted was Dr. Robert “Whirlwind” Johnson in 1972, and the most recent were Jill Ellis, Craig Littlepage, and Hal Nunnally, all part of the Class of 2024.
Beginning July 2024, the Walk The Hall Tour in Town Center of Virginia Beach will feature VA Sports HOF Inductees that have also competed or coached in the Olympic Games. The 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Paris, France. The exhibits will continue to feature Virginia Olympians in the months following the Olympic Games.
