2025 Induction Weekend Recap

(VIRGINIA BEACH, VA) – April 26, 2025 saw the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame welcome 9 new inductees and honor our Sportsperson of the Year, as part of the Hall’s 2025 Induction Ceremony at the Westin Hotel in Town Center of Virginia Beach. The 2025 Induction Ceremony was the culmination of a weekend full of events, as the Hall welcomed sports fans from across the Commonwealth and beyond to three events over the course of two days.

The weekend kicked-off with a Welcome Reception Friday, April 25 at Three Notch’d Craft Kitchen & Brewery in Town Center. There the Hall of Fame welcomed the incoming inductees and their families for a relaxed evening that also featured an on-site broadcast from the Hall’s media partner, Priority Auto Sports Radio 94.1. Scott Jackson hosted his afternoon show featuring 8 members of the Class of 2025, and Hall of Fame Board Member, Will Driscoll.

Induction Weekend continued the following morning, April 26, with Breakfast with Champions, where attendees got to enjoy breakfast with the new inductees, and also participate in a Q&A, and autograph session. Finally, the weekend culminated with the Hall of Fame Reception & Induction Ceremony, where sponsors, friends, family, and supporters got to meet & mingle with the Class of 2025, and witness their formal induction into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. Additionally, the Hall of Fame recognized itsrecipient of the Steve Guback Sportsperson of the Year Award, Gretchen Walsh from the University of Virginia.
