Marshall Johnson

Marshall Johnson held an extensive newspaper career working for the Lynchburg News and the Manassas Journal. In 1949, he joined the Richmond bureau of the Associated Press, holding a number of positions including sports editor until his retirement career. He was recognized as a walking encyclopedia of Virginia high school sports. The Virginia High School League and the Virginia High School Coaches Association have honored him for his contributions to prep school sports. Johnson is an inductee in the Virginia High School League Hall of Fame.
