Billy Wagner talks Hall of Fame & coaching sons at Miller

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Billy Wagner is in his 13th season as the head coach of the Miller school baseball team. He started coaching there soon after retiring from the major leagues in 2010.

“I truly wanted to give back to the game, I didn’t think it would be as soon as it was,” says Wagner. “I love the game, I love kids, and I like seeing other people be successful.”

Wagner has coached both of his sons at Miller. Kason Wagner is a junior on this year’s team.

“He’s a big part of my progression in pitching,” says Kason about his dad’s help. “Every day he’s working with me and made me into what I am today. He treats me the same as all of the other players.”
