Celebrating the storied careers of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame’s newest inductees
Since 1972, the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame has carried the torch as the official state Hall of Fame for Virginia, honoring 372 deserving athletes, coaches, and contributors from all corners of Virginia. Many of our past inductees are also members of the National Halls of Fame in professional football, basketball, baseball, Golf, NASCAR and Olympic Gold Medalists.
In April, the Hall will celebrate the Class of 2026 and the 2025 Sportsperson of the Year Award recipient as part of its 53rd Annual Induction Weekend. The Hall is planning multiple events that will provide engagement and exposure opportunities for sports fans and our corporate partners. Scheduled events include:

As the largest annual event, Induction Weekend offers the Hall and its partners countless opportunities for exposure through on-site engagement at weekend events, to marketing and promotional outreach in the lead-up to the weekend. The Sponsor Welcome Reception kicks off the 2026 Induction Weekend, Friday evening, April 24 at a TBD location in the Richmond region. The Welcome Reception provides Induction Weekend sponsors an intimate setting to engage with the incoming Class of 2026 and their families, as well as past inductees. This is a private event reserved only for Induction Weekend sponsors.

Hilton Short Pump
The Breakfast with Champions kicks off a packed Saturday, April 25, as we honor and celebrate the Class of 2026 with breakfast, an audience Q&A, and an autograph session. This is a family-friendly event, open to the general public (with ticket purchase).
- Location: Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump, Capital Ballroom
- Time: 9:00 a.m. (doors open 8:15 a.m.)
- Tickets: $35/person, $325 for a reserved table of 10. Tickets include autograph sheet provided by Hall of Fame

Hilton Short Pump
Meet and mingle with inductees past and present during the Hall of Fame Reception, and then join us as we formally welcome a new class of inductees during the 2026 Induction Ceremony.
- Location: Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump, Capital Ballroom
- Time: Reception 5:15 – 6:45 pm, Ceremony begins at 7:00 pm
- Tickets: $100/person, $900 for a block of 10. Includes open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres
