NORFOLK, Va. — Booker T. Washington is one of many area high schools opening their football season on Thursday night. They’ll take to the road to face Petersburg at 7pm, but not without some Pro Football Hall of Fame words of wisdom.
Norfolk native and Bookers alumnus Bruce Smith spoke at the team’s final practice on Wednesday afternoon. He, like many of the players on the team, once roamed the hallways like he did at the school.
