FERRUM, Va. (WFXR) — Earlier this month, former Major League Baseball and Ferrum College pitcher Billy Wagner got the call he was waiting on for a long time. That’s making it to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The class of 2025 inductee made a return to his alma mater in Ferrum to give some pointers to this current crop of panther players. Getting back to his honor a making the hall, this was his tenth and final chance to make it on the ballot. Through his Major League Career, he produced all of fame numbers as a relief pitchers, it was great for Wagner to finally get the call he has deserved since his retirement!
