Craig Littlepage to be inducted into Virginia Sports Hall of Fame

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Former UVA Athletics Director Craig Littlepage will be inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame Saturday.

Littlepage is one of nine to be inducted in this year’s 2024 class, which also includes former UVA athletes Chris Long and Monica Wright.

He spent 45 years on UVA Grounds, including 16 as athletics director from 2001-2017. Virginia won 13 national championships during his tenure as AD.

“I’ll remember a National Championship in rowing, when the team won the championship in the Craig Littlepage boat,” said Littlepage. “That was a thrill and I was there for that. The College World Series, and obviously the Men’s Basketball National Championship”.
