Ferrum star and MLB standout Billy Wagner voted into MLB Hall of Fame

(WDBJ) – Ferrum College baseball player turned professional, Billy Wagner, has been inducted into the Major League Baseball of Fame.

The announcement was made on Tuesday evening on MLB Network.

After a stellar 16-year major league career where Wagner holds multiple pitching records, this was his final year of eligibility on the Hall of Fame ballot. After falling just five votes shy of immortality last year, Wagner has surpassed the 75% vote threshold with 82.5% of the baseball writers vote to enter Cooperstown.
