Celebrating the storied careers of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame’s newest inductees
Since its first induction class in 1972, the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame has carried the torch as the official state Hall of Fame for Virginia. It has served its mission of honoring athletic excellence in the Commonwealth through the induction of 363 deserving athletes, coaches, and contributors from all corners of Virginia. In April the Hall will celebrate the Class of 2025 and the Sportsperson of the Year Award recipient as part of its 52nd Annual Induction Weekend. The Hall is planning multiple events that will provide engagement and exposure opportunities for sports fans and our corporate partners. Our goal is to provide a weekend celebration worthy of the Hall and its inductees. Scheduled events in Town Center of Virginia Beach include:
- Friday, April 25, 2025; Sponsor Welcome Reception, Three Notch’d Brewing Co. & Craft Kitchen
- Saturday, April 26, 2025; Breakfast With Champions, family-oriented, meet & greet, autograph session for new inductees. Westin Hotel, Town Center of Virginia Beach, 9:00 a.m.
- Saturday, April 26, 2025; Hall of Fame Reception & Induction Ceremony. Westin Hotel, Town Center of Virginia Beach, 5:15 p.m.
As the largest annual event, Induction Weekend offers the Hall and its partners countless opportunities for exposure through on-site engagement at weekend events, to marketing and promotional outreach in the lead-up to the weekend, and strong media coverage of the events. With another strong class of inductees, the eyes of Virginia sports fans will be on Virginia Beach, April 25 & 26, 2025.
***The Honors Court Committee will meet in November to select the Class of 2025, and an official announcement is tentatively scheduled for Monday, December 2.***

Breakfast with Champions – April 26, 9 a.m. Westin Hotel, 2nd floor ballroom
Wake up with the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame’s incoming inductees, at Breakfast with Champions.
- Tickets – $30/person, includes an autograph session with the new class. Attendees are permitted to bring no more than 2 personal items for autographs. The Hall will also provide an autograph sheet featuring each inductee.
- Breakfast Table of 10 – $275 (includes breakfast and Q&A)

2025 Hall of Fame Reception & Induction Ceremony – April 26, 5:15 p.m., Westin Hotel, 2nd floor ballroom
Meet and mingle with inductees past and present, and then join the Hall of Fame as we formally welcome a new class of inductees into the Hall of Honor.
- Tickets – $85/person. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and open bar included.

The Hall of Fame would like to thank its hotel partner for 2025 Induction Weekend. Guests can stay right in the heart of the action at the home of our 2025 Induction Weekend events, The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center.
The Westin has provided the Hall of Fame with a block of rooms at a discounted rate of $169/night from Thursday, April 24 through Sunday, April 27. There are multiple ways to book your room and receive the discounted rate:
