Sense of the Game

Science SOL K.2, K.4

Hear, smell, touch, see and taste the sights, smells and sounds of a football game. Your students will review each of the senses and how they help us navigate a football game. They will then put all five to use while trying to guess what mystery stadium snack is hidden in the
mystery box.

Movin Matters

Your students will experience what it feels like to be a molecule in each of the three states of matter while they explore important properties of each of the three states.

Half Time

Using basketball, we explain each of the parts of a fraction and then challenge students to try out and make the fraction basketball team.

They will also “learn it” when they apply math skills learned in your classroom into the games and activities we have created.

This program is all about counting and getting your little ones up and moving with numbers!

From exercising and hopping, to counting by 10’s forward and backward, your students are working with numbers from start to finish with our interactive activities.

We can’t wait to visit your classrooms so we can get your students up and out of their seats and moving with numbers and counting!

Teach Math at the Ballgame

We take your students on an imaginary trip to a Washington Nationals baseball game!

From the moment we buy our tickets and make a quick stop at the souvenir shop, students will be challenged with multiple choice math questions that relate to the game experience.

Throughout, your students will be challenged by our VSHF fan squad and Washington Nationals mascots to perform dance moves, stretch and sing at the ball game.

This program is a great review program; whether to refresh their brains when they return to school in the fall or a fun review at the end of the year.
